Part of their latest Winter 2015 line, the Tatami Inverted Collection features all the same quality construction you would expect from Tatami, but with a bold new badass look. The Inverted Collection features very similar cut and materials to the Tatami Estilo 5.0, but as the Inverted gis are made in China (rather than Pakistan) you will notice a slight difference in the feel of the material, particularly the fabric of the jacket, which will feel a bit softer. The Inverted gi features a 550 GSM Pearl Weave cotton fabric jacket, with 12 oz canvas pants. The most distinctive element of the Inverted gis is the contrasting jacket and pants – the jacket comes in white, light grey or aqua blue, with a bold black lapel, matching the black pants with contrasting stitching (the stitching matches the jacket color). A new stylized Tatami typeface is embroidered on the shoulders – an additional detail setting the Inverted gi apart from the Estilo 5.0 model. The chevron patterned lining along the shoulders and inside jacket vents match the seam tape, and the belt loops and rope drawstring match the color of the jacket.
